On the way to the old mansion, she meets Shrutik, her cousin who elopes with her cousin's wife Geeta but discusses everything with her instead of with her husband when he wakes up after his treatment by a doctor in a hospital. Arundhati meets Anwar and learns about the power of inanimate objects that can be controlled with certain mantras and rituals. After having seen the ghost in the family mansion, Arundhati rigs up to get her hands on her necklace which has an effigy of a "Mulai" (a character in the Assam folklore) in diamonds and other jewels. Shrutik invites her to his house in a village, which is haunted by ghosts, to get her hands on the necklace. There, she meets Kalika, a daughter of the landlord whose family house was ruined by the previous owner and had married into another family, but her parents-in-law suspect her as a witch and chased her to the mansion. Arundhati also meets Kalika's husband, who is a caretaker of the property and is not against her succeeding her husband's land (Kalika is actually a witch though). Arundhati realizes that Kalika and Changan alias Anwar are the same person, who have joined hands to evict the ghosts from the house and Arundhati, believing that she is able to control the ghosts, asks Kalika to help her trap Anwar and Kalika agrees. Kalika also traps Shrutik who tries to flee and Arundhati traps Anwar who tries to kill both and save her. When the ghosts appear and threaten to kill her but are thrown out of the house by Rajendra singh, her cousin, Arundhati takes the lead. She traps the ghosts and helps her cousins. Later, her family and Rahul return.

In the final shot of the movie, when Rahul greets Arundhati, she asks why is he looking sad. He only replies that he is a ghost. Arundhati then tells him that she was looking at a picture of him when they were kids and that his smile would always brighten things up. Arundhati also tells him to "be more serious". Rahul laughs and Arundhati later goes to sleep in Rahul's arms with the ghost of her mother Jejamma as a witness. d2c66b5586
