Drizzle the remaining maple syrup on top of the bacon pieces, and top with the remaining brown sugar.Bake for approximately 25 minutes or until bubbling and caramelized.Remove from the oven and allow the pan to come to room temperature.

Since this appetizer/dessert is supposed to be served at room temperature I got busy first thing thenext morning. I got the bacon out of the refrigerator and chopped it up into small pieces then openedthe crescent roll dough (I used the solid piece of dough, not the ones perforated kind). After lining abaking sheet with foil I sprayed it really well with non-stick spray. I placed the dough on the pan andpatted it, stretching the dough till it covered the whole pan. After pricking the dough with a fork Ipoured half the maple syrup over it and used a pastry brush to spread it evenly. I sprinkled on 1/4cup of the brown sugar and then topped that with the bacon.

There are some great players developing on the Toronto Maple Leafs AHL affiliate, the Toronto Marlies this season.\u00a0 A few are looking NHL ready and are just waiting for their opportunity to show what they can do in the NHL.\nThe Marlies have had a decent start to their season going 8-4-1-1.\u00a0 They currently sit third in the North Division and fifth in the Eastern Conference.\nThe team has made some big changes after having a disappointing 2020-21 season going 16-17-0-2.\u00a0 There are lots of exciting new players of the team this season along with young guys getting more opportunity.\nBefore I get into some Marlies ready to make their NHL debut, here are some standouts on the Marlies with some NHL experience:\n(All stats from theAHL.com)\nToronto Marlies Standouts\nKirill Semyonov\u00a0earned a call up to the Toronto Maple Leafs after racking up 9 points in 9 games and displaying phenomenal defensive work.\u00a0 He\u2019s played two games with the Maple Leafs so far this season.\nBrett Seney has 8 goals and 13 points in 14 games and leads the Toronto Marlies in goals and points this season.\nJosh Ho-Sang has 8 goals and 12 points in 13 games this season.
