New York houses a pre-historic graveyard map called "The Garbage Dump" which is the first of a kind in the series.[18] The map is accessed by using a rollercoaster underground journey to a garage under the city. A key item within the map is a train car, which contains a generator capable of providing the building with electricity, a radio tuned to a static network channel, and a lawn mower. The Garbage Dump was released for GameStop pre-orders to users who purchased the game through their website or GameStop in-store. The pre-orders came with the same content as the console version save the aforementioned additional challenge map, which was released separately for download. The level had its own box art, and a unique goblin radio stalker as the main scarecrow antagonist.[75] The radio broadcast would periodically announce the last victim the murderer may have encountered, which would be evident in an echo heard from the static network channel. When the victim's name and a certain number would be counted out, the station will announce the radio stalker getting closer to claim his next victim. If the radio stalker touches the ground or the victim as the character is saving or exiting a building, the victim would be killed resulting in a Game Over. When the necromancer named Vanguards covered a victim's eyes, he would turn into stone, making it much harder to escape. If the necromancer was defeated, he would drop a gruesome corpse, which would be added to the Garbage Dump. To compensate for limited space in the radio station, the victim's health was not saved by eating but also not shortened. The victim would only gain experience points. Visiting the Garbage Dump was mandatory for the challenger to continue playing the main campaign. Vanguards in human form had to be defeated to access the Garbage Dump, costing the additional 75% experience points for defeating him. Unlike normal challenges, the clock was disabled whenever the killer was active, as he would often remain in the building for longer periods of time than usual as the stalker rose from the tomb. Following the release of pre-orders, a downloadable Garbage Dump map was made available to Xbox Live and PlayStation Network users who purchased the game through retailers (such as GameStop) or directly from the publisher's website. d2c66b5586
