New York houses a pre-historic graveyard map called "The Garbage Dump" which is the first of a kind in the series.[18] The map is accessed by using a rollercoaster underground journey to a garage under the city. To compensate for limited space in the radio station, the victim's health was not saved by eating but also not shortened. The victim would only gain experience points. Visiting the Garbage Dump was mandatory for the challenger to continue playing the main campaign. Vanguards in human form had to be defeated to access the Garbage Dump, costing the additional 75% experience points for defeating him. Unlike normal challenges, the clock was disabled whenever the killer was active, as he would often remain in the building for longer periods of time than usual as the stalker rose from the tomb.
